Program Coordinator II
Job Summary
This position of Program Coordinator II leads the Markey Cancer Center’s (MCC) Director’s Office administrative team, providing advanced programmatic, operational, and administrative coordination support to the MCC Director and Associate Director for Administration. The role serves as a central liaison for leadership initiatives, coordinating complex programs, meetings, and events while supporting execution of strategic priorities across the Cancer Center. The position operates with a high degree of independence, judgment, and discretion in a fast-paced academic medical environment. This role will manage complex calendars and travel, prepare leadership for meetings and engagements, and facilitate communication across faculty, staff, university leadership, and external partners. In addition, this position leads and supports key projects and events, coordinates logistics for high-level meetings and visits, and helps drive operational efficiency across the cancer center. A successful candidate will also ensure that the Executive Administrative Team is seamlessly plugged into the broader MCC Administration. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, sound judgment, discretion with confidential information, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and service. As a fully on-site and highly visible position, it serves as an integral touchpoint within the Markey Cancer Center’s Director’s Office.
