PROGRAM COORDINATOR II

University of Alabama at Birmingham The Surgery–Transplantation Department has an open Program Coordinator II position. General Responsibilities This role provides comprehensive coordination and operational support for departmental programs by facilitating effective administration, resource management, stakeholder engagement, and program implementation. The position contributes to the achievement of organizational goals by ensuring efficient workflows, supporting planning and decision-making activities, maintaining compliance with established standards, and fostering productive relationships with internal and external constituents. Responsibilities may also include oversight of support functions, financial and data-related activities, and assistance with initiatives that enhance program effectiveness and long-term success. Key Duties & Responsibilities Coordinates administrative, personnel, and logistical support, for a defined department program (s), often of a large and/or complex nature. Carries out established program objectives and directives. Follows established guidelines or protocols and determines the best approach to accomplish assignments. May participate in program planning and in setting program objectives. May supervise support staff. May handle data management. May act as a communication liaison and special events planner. May be responsible for adherence to program budget and/or other fiscal duties. Interfaces with outside resources such as volunteers, alumni, patients, other professionals in a defined field or with continuing education students. May assist with grant and contract preparation and submission. Performs other duties as assigned. Hourly Range: $18.35-$29.80 Education Bachelor's degree in a related field and one (1) year of related experience required. Or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
