Program Coordinator (Health Policy and Management)

They address challenges related to health policy and management by developing and implementing programs designed to improve community health outcomes. The program is housed within a School of Public Health, supporting research, education, and the development of impactful health initiatives.
About the role
The Program Coordinator supports the implementation and management of a health-related program under general supervision. This role contributes to program development, planning, budgeting, and day-to-day operations while helping ensure short- and long-term goals are achieved. The position may also coordinate operational staff and serves as a key point of contact between internal departments and external organizations.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to program goal setting and identify operational requirements.
- Utilize internal and external resources to support program objectives.
- Serve as a primary contact for the program with internal departments and external organizations.
- Monitor budget expenses, process invoices, perform budget reconciliations, and assist with budget development.
- Compile and maintain documentation related to funding and financial activities.
- Identify and resolve program-related issues.
- Assist with event planning, preparation, setup, and logistics.
- Coordinate program communications through websites, social media, publications, and other channels as needed.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of program activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Four years of progressively responsible administrative experience.
- Additional education may substitute for required experience, and additional related experience may substitute for education in accordance with the applicable equivalency formula.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree.
- Interest in injury and violence prevention.
- Experience with event planning.
- Experience working with legal practices or offices is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Pay
Starting hourly salary range: $21.80–$37.80, commensurate with experience.
