Health Program Coordinator

Grant funded position. Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required; visa sponsorship is not available. Travel up to 25% of the time will be required. The selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location and must be located in or willing to relocate to New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts prior to hire. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with a combination of onsite and remote work.

About the role

The Health Program Coordinator will assist with the coordination of program activities for the projects of the New York State Perinatal Quality Collaborative (NYSPQC). These projects are currently focused on respectful care and safe reduction of nulliparous, term, singleton, vertex (NTSV) cesarean births and neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) family-centered care. The incumbent will contribute to program coordination activities to support evidence-based and informed practice changes in participating NYS birthing facilities to improve perinatal outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the coordination of project activities, team meetings, educational webinars with stakeholders, and virtual/in-person events.
  • Coordinate stakeholder activities and serve as a liaison with both internal and external professionals.
  • Compile reports and presentations; communicate project status to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate NYSPQC project communication and project team member activities.
  • Track progress towards goals and objectives.
  • Perform other appropriate related duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of experience contributing to the coordination of program activities in a public health, health, health regulatory, or human services related program; OR
  • Associate's degree in a related field and four years of such experience; OR
  • Six years of such experience.
  • A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience.
  • Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with assisting in the coordination and/or organization of a large-scale project.
  • Experience in maternal and child health.
  • Experience working with hospital providers.
  • Experience assisting with the development of educational strategies, resources, and/or materials.
  • Experience in assisting with developing and coordinating reports for key stakeholders.
  • Master’s degree in public health or a related field.

Pay

Minimum: $69,764.00 - Maximum: $69,764.00 annually. Positions with a designated work location in New York City, Nassau, Rockland, Suffolk, or Westchester Counties will receive a $4,000 annual downstate adjustment (pro-rated for part-time positions).
