Program Coordinator, College and Career Readiness
About the role
This is a grant-funded position coordinating the day-to-day operations of the office, managing leadership schedules, and supporting the College's college and career readiness initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Manages leadership schedules and calendars; schedules internal and external meetings and activities with business, community, and government institutions.
- Works with external partners to collect and track student data on pathways, and articulation agreements.
- Responds to office and departmental requests in a timely manner with strong emphasis on outstanding customer service.
- Provides administrative support to supervisor and office.
- Aids the team in completing departmental assignments.
- Captures and organizes student data for college and career readiness events.
- Coordinates and delivers direct student services through college and career readiness events.
- Coordinates college and career readiness events by preparing, scheduling, and organizing timelines, room reservations, technology needs, materials, registration, and communication with students and families.
- Supports on-site event operations and student engagement while leadership presents.
- Oversees student follow-up, including communication, surveys, and referrals.
- Evaluates articulation agreements and high school transcripts to verify eligibility requirements are met.
- Posts college credits to students' transcripts and imports all documentation to the students' record.
- Maintains on-going communication with office leadership to report important information, occurrences and issues within the office and department.
- Maintains and updates the office calendar, webpage, related event and activity schedules, and shared email account used for correspondence with students and school districts.
- Attends staff and project team meetings and provides follow-up on meeting outcomes including tracking resulting activities and projects.
- Prepares and maintains confidential correspondence and documents and assists in processing documents related to employees, purchase orders, employment, benefits, and performance review activities.
- Answers phones and screens incoming calls and mail; responds independently to inquiries, drafts responses for leadership review or refers as appropriate.
- Develops strong working relationships with key departments across the College.
- Establishes and maintains general office files and student records.
- Assists with the preparation of reports, presentations, and publications, including research, writing, and copy-editing.
- Assists with other College-wide projects, initiatives, and committees.
- Selects, trains, supervises and evaluates part-time student assistants, interns, and part-time assistants.
- May assist in planning, maintaining, and monitoring of a business area's budget.
Requirements
Associate degree and a minimum of three (3) years; OR a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two (2) years of: Demonstrated progressively responsible experience in professional office environment. Demonstrated experience making sound decisions that affect a work unit or team. Demonstrated experience in a role requiring diverse problem-solving methods in a variety of situations. Significant related experience may substitute for education.

Benefits
The position offers a competitive starting salary range of $43,000 to $48,000, which will be based upon an assessment of internal equity, the unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications in relation to the minimum and/or preferred job requirement(s).
Pay
$43,000 to $48,000 per year
Schedule
Monday- Friday (with occasional evenings and weekends) 8:30am-5:00pm
