Program Coordinator
About the role
NTS is seeking a Program Coordinator‑Operations Support to support a U.S. Department of State (DoS) contract. The individual will assist with travel coordination for personnel and support the development of program deliverables. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Travel Coordination: Manage and coordinate travel logistics and authorizations for program personnel, including flight bookings, lodging, transportation, and visa requirements. Work closely with the program team to ensure timely and cost‑effective travel arrangements. Ensure compliance with all travel policies and regulations. Collect travel documentation from travelers and ensure compliance for expense reporting.
- Program Deliverable Development: Assist in the creation and maintenance of program deliverables such as reports, presentations, and proposals. Collaborate with program managers to ensure deliverables meet contract requirements and deadlines. Support tracking of program milestones and deliverables to ensure alignment with project timelines.
- General Administrative Support: Coordinate meetings, briefings, and other program‑related events. Maintain program documentation, including travel records, meeting minutes, and status reports. Assist with resource management, including tracking equipment, supplies, personnel requirements, and expense reports.
Requirements
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Active Secret Security Clearance with the U.S. Government.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, program management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in program coordination, preferably in government contracting (DoS or similar contracts a plus).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize competing tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), SharePoint, and Adobe applications.
- Prior experience coordinating travel and working with government travel regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a demonstrated record of accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with DoS contracts or other government contracts.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
The role requires extended periods of computer work in a professional office setting with standard equipment (computers, phones, printers). Some travel (less than 10%) may be required for program support. Reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities.
Work Schedule & Location
Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day, covering core contract hours of 09:00 – 15:00. This is an onsite position in the Gainesville, VA office, with occasional work at an office in Sterling, VA.
Pay
Salary Non‑Exempt role. Base salary range: $65,000 – $85,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, skills, location, and internal equity.
