About the role
Supports the planning and emergency/disaster operations within Franklin County for the Hanford/DOE and Columbia Generating Station programs. This multi-faceted position involves planning, training, exercises, and equipment management/maintenance. Extensive on-the-job training will be provided.
Requires interaction and coordination with cities, state and federal agencies, businesses, schools, volunteers, other county departments, and citizens in the development of and response to emergency plans or disaster occurrences.
Responsibilities
- Plan and support emergency/disaster operations
- Develop and conduct training programs
- Design and execute emergency exercises
- Manage and maintain emergency equipment
- Coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including government agencies, businesses, schools, and volunteers
- Follow and apply complex state and federal guidelines, rules, and regulations
Requirements
- Experience in planning, training, exercises, and/or equipment management
- Ability to learn complex tasks and instructions
- Strong coordination and communication skills
