Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide telephone support to staff by answering and/or forwarding calls from victims, claimants, providers, and stakeholders.
- Aid with clerical duties such as mail sorting, scanning, and faxing.
- Support Program Analysts by returning phone calls and gathering requested documentation.
- Enter claim information into a claims management system.
- Review incomplete claims and initiate contact with victims and/or claimants to gather necessary information.
- Maintain a spreadsheet of daily functions and update it as needed.
- Represent MPHI and MDHHS at all times.
Qualifications/Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two years of related administrative support experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Self-motivated, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Highly organized.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong confidentiality and privacy standards.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- This is a hybrid position with an office location in Grand Tower, Lansing, Michigan.
- The office environment includes a standard office setting.
- Requires occasional physical effort, including lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Requires a valid driver’s license for attending off-site meetings, conferences, and training.
