Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide telephone support to staff by answering and/or forwarding calls from victims, claimants, providers, and stakeholders.
  • Aid with clerical duties such as mail sorting, scanning, and faxing.
  • Support Program Analysts by returning phone calls and gathering requested documentation.
  • Enter claim information into a claims management system.
  • Review incomplete claims and initiate contact with victims and/or claimants to gather necessary information.
  • Maintain a spreadsheet of daily functions and update it as needed.
  • Represent MPHI and MDHHS at all times.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of related administrative support experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Self-motivated, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Highly organized.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong confidentiality and privacy standards.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • This is a hybrid position with an office location in Grand Tower, Lansing, Michigan.
  • The office environment includes a standard office setting.
  • Requires occasional physical effort, including lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Requires a valid driver’s license for attending off-site meetings, conferences, and training.
