Essential Responsibilities
- Aid the Program Director in scheduling and preparing staffing and programming for each camp session.
- Supervise and lead the summer ministry team in all aspects of camp programs.
- Maintain a positive spiritual environment for the summer ministry team through weekly meetings.
- Enforce policies and procedures established by Echo Grove Administration.
- Host Echo Grove’s summer guest groups during August.
- Teach or lead activities as needed.
- Train staff on observing camper and staff behavior, enforcing safety regulations, and managing behavior.
- Identify and respond to potential hazards and emergencies.
- Plan and conduct activities and drills.
- Provide assistance in emergency situations such as fires, severe weather, evacuations, illnesses, or injuries.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, with 2 years of summer camp experience.
- Experience supervising staff and campers.
- Strong physical ability to assist campers and staff in emergencies.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, especially with peers and children.
- Desire to live out Christian principles and exhibit them in daily life.
- Basic computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, TEAMS, and SharePoint.
