Scope and Purpose
The HSCPA will work directly with the Hudson Service Center Director to maintain and/or expand existing programs offered to the community. The HSCPA will aide the HSCP in the overall operation of the Hudson Service Center to ensure efficient and effective operation of all aspects of The Salvation Army social services ministry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Avoids waste and ensures proper food preparation and service.
- Cooks as needed and assists with meal and menu planning.
- Orders food from Food Bank and other vendors, and manages pickup, unloading, stocking, and inventory.
- Aids in the operation of seasonal programs such as Long Point Camp recruitment, Back to School program, Holiday Food and Toy assistance.
- Recruits and schedules volunteer bell ringers, sets up and collects kettles, and relieves volunteers as needed.

Special Skills, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Associate's degree preferred or one to two years of related experience.
- Valid driver's license meeting The Salvation Army insurance requirements.
- Highly organized and able to multitask.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- SafeServe food handling certificate preferred (must obtain within 6 months of employment).
