Program Assistant
Job Responsibilities
- In addition to general office support and management, this position coordinates training and disseminates technical information, develops and maintains content for online training, assists with managing program budget, maintains service record, coordinates and organizes events, and responds to inquiries that come into the program.
- This position will also independently implement work processes and help develop procedures for assigned work guided by program professionals.
- This role is the primary SDSU contact for joint conferences put on by collaborating LTAP programs which includes registering attendees and collection of payment, coordinating the conference agenda with other programs, managing venue contracts, and providing real-time support.
- This position will do all programming for conference registration.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of: Computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Zoom, Teams, and PowerPoint.
- Event planning and conference programming.
- Customer service practices.
- Exercise independent judgment in evaluating situations, making decisions, and prioritizing work.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Use effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment, build effective working relationships with peers, supervisors, and others through strong interpersonal communication.
- Apply basic accounting skills and budgeting practices.
- Maintain confidentiality.
