Responsibilities
- Open, close, and monitor park and school facilities.
- Set up facilities and maintain inventories of supplies and equipment.
- Schedule facilities and enforce standards of discipline and conduct.
- Organize and prepare recreational activities.
- Provide information to the public about facility activities.
- Serve as a liaison between schools, user groups, and the Parks and Recreation Department.
- Perform related tasks as required.
Requirements
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to high school diploma and some experience working with the public.
- Knowledge or experience with community recreational programs and facilities, or relevant experience with a school system.
- Minimum age requirement: 18 years old.
- 12-30 hours/week; Monday - Friday, 5 p.m. - 10:00 p.m., and Weekends: variable schedule.
- Possession of a driver's license valid in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Own transportation is required.
- Selected candidates must successfully complete a criminal history and fingerprint check if they are 18 years of age or older.
