About the role

This is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position. Responsibilities

Support implementation, performance management, and provide operational support to one or more programs within the behavioral health initiative under the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP).

  • Translate program goals and strategic direction into operational processes, implementation supports, and monitoring activities that promote successful delivery of mental health and substance use services and achievement of grant objectives.
  • Monitor program implementation, identify and address operational and performance challenges, develop reports and analyses, coordinate quality improvement activities, and support alignment of contracts, funding, and operational resources with program goals.
  • Work closely with providers, managed care organizations, and internal partners to support fidelity to the program model, ensure compliance with grant requirements, and promote continuous improvement in service delivery and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and three (3) years progressively responsible experience related to the area of assignment;
  • An equivalent combination of training and experience.

Benefits

Note: Permanent and time-limited NC State Government employees must separate from their permanent or time-limited position in order to work in a temporary position. All temporary employees are limited to one NC State Government temporary assignment at a time. Individuals hired into a temporary State job must be fully qualified for the job.

Pay

Hourly Rate of Pay: $40.27 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).

Schedule

Effective July 1, 2025, candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they have the minimum education and experience listed from the class specification.
