Program Analyst I Task and Duties
- Gather and organize information from a variety of sources including records, databases, computer files, previous studies, interviews, and accountable property records
- Analyze information to identify issues, trends, and operational concerns
- Prepare and edit correspondence, reports, memoranda, and other written materials
- Review and analyze documents submitted for completeness and accuracy
- Review invoices, financial documents, and related program documentation
- Work collaboratively in teams on special projects and program initiatives
- Communicate via telephone and email with agency personnel, District offices, and contract affiliates
- Research and provide information necessary to support program operations and policies
- Prepare statistical analyses and evaluate program performance metrics
- Aid with fund transfers using various USMS databases and systems
- Develop and maintain logs, trackers, and databases related to financial and program activities
- Provide administrative and operational support to various USMS branch offices and divisions
- Update and maintain automated records and databases
- Prepare reports and documentation as needed
- Process incoming inquiries and documentation
- Collect, compile, and report data concerning weekly and operational accomplishments
- Support program activities in accordance with agency policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- At least one (1) year of experience supporting financial, budgetary, analytical, administrative, or related program support activities
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Experience preparing reports, correspondence, spreadsheets, or tracking documentation
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and operational requirements
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a Federal Government environment
Pay
Compensation for this position is expected to fall within the range of $27.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and overall alignment with the position requirements.
