Professional Counselor - Psych Adult

Responsibilities

  • Practice under clinical supervision to evaluate, diagnose, and treat psychiatric and substance use disorders.
  • Collaborate with patients and support systems, conduct assessments, and develop risk reduction plans to ensure safety.
  • Provide evidence-based psychotherapy approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and recovery models.
  • Demonstrate effectiveness in individual, group, and family psychotherapy across multi-modal treatment settings.
  • Deliver specialized psychotherapy services, assess patient risks, and implement safety plans.
  • Work within a supervised plan to achieve licensure, contributing to patient-centered, holistic mental health care.
  • Support a culture of mutual respect, diversity, and professional growth.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Master's Degree in Counseling or related field.
  • Must hold or obtain Oregon Professional Counselor License or Associate License upon hire.
  • Preferred experience includes at least one year of practicum in a behavioral health setting and additional substance use treatment experience.
