About the role
We are seeking a Professional Counselor to provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric and substance use disorders in a clinical setting. Under supervision, the counselor will deliver evidence-based psychotherapy and support a patient-centered, inclusive environment while collaborating with the healthcare team to promote whole-person care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments for psychiatric and substance use disorders
- Develop and implement risk mitigation plans
- Perform individual, group, and family therapy
- Deliver evidence-based psychotherapy, including:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Motivational Interviewing
- Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Counseling or related field
- Oregon Professional Counselor License or Associate License
Qualifications
- Minimum of one year in a behavioral health practicum (preferred)
- Additional substance use treatment experience (preferred)
Skills
- Strong clinical judgment
- Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic approaches
- Effective communication
