Professional Counselor - Psych Adult

About the role

We are seeking a Professional Counselor to provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric and substance use disorders in a clinical setting. Under supervision, the counselor will deliver evidence-based psychotherapy and support a patient-centered, inclusive environment while collaborating with the healthcare team to promote whole-person care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments for psychiatric and substance use disorders
• Develop and implement risk mitigation plans
• Perform individual, group, and family therapy
• Deliver evidence-based psychotherapy, including:
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Motivational Interviewing
  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Counseling or related field
• Oregon Professional Counselor License or Associate License

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year in a behavioral health practicum (preferred)
• Additional substance use treatment experience (preferred)

Skills

• Strong clinical judgment
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic approaches
• Effective communication
