Professional Counselor - Psych Adult

Part‑time, temporary Professional Counselor position providing evaluation, diagnosis, and specialized psychotherapy services for psychiatric and substance‑use disorders in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with patients and their support systems to assess and diagnose mental‑health conditions.
• Implement evidence‑based psychotherapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
• Provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy across multimodal treatment settings.
• Assess patient risk and develop risk‑mitigation plans to ensure safety.
• Work under clinical supervision to achieve licensure with a qualified supervisor.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling or a related field.
• Oregon Professional Counselor License or Associate License at the time of hire.
• Preferred: practicum experience in a behavioral health setting.
• Additional experience in substance‑use treatment is desirable.
