Vantage is seeking a motivated Production Worker (Probationary) that will be able to perform a variety of interlock and assembly jobs throughout the plant. The Production Worker must perform well in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, demonstrating outstanding communication and work ethics. They must also be able to operate equipment to meet facility goals for safety, quality, productivity, and teamwork.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in machine operation or manufacturing preferred.
  • Strong understanding of safety and quality standards.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn multiple machines.
  • Must be able to lift over 50 pounds.
  • Frequent walking, standing, kneeling, and climbing during 8–10-hour shifts.
  • Good record-keeping and measurement skills.

Responsibilities

  • Safety & Compliance
    • Work safely and comply with all environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
    • Proactively identify and report potential hazards for corrective action.
  • Production & Quality
    • Assemble wooden crates using nail guns according to specifications.
    • Operate hanger assembly machinery and perform machine set-up as required.
    • Monitor process parameters to ensure adherence to specifications.
    • Perform quality inspections using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measures).
    • Recommend preventative maintenance or repairs to maintain equipment reliability.
    • Adapt to changes in production priorities and meet hourly/daily targets.
  • Teamwork & Communication
    • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to maintain workflow.
    • Support a cohesive team environment and assist others as needed.
  • Other Duties
    • Work safely and comply with all environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
    • Proactively identify and report potential hazards for corrective action.

Work Environment & Hazards

  • General manufacturing environment.
  • Risk of injury on manufacturing floor.
  • Moderate to high level of noise.

Special Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift over 50 pounds.
  • Standing and lifting for long periods of time.

Benefits

  • Weekly Pay: $17.00 per hour (Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and in keeping with local legislation).
  • Hourly position with overtime available.
  • After 90 days, eligibility for benefits through the IBEW, Local 3 Union.

Schedule

  • Full Time, Union.
  • Day shifts, generally 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.

Pay

$17.00 per hour.
