Production Welder (Associate - Senior)
About the role
Under direct supervision with an assigned mentor or coach, you will perform standard operations specifically used in the welding process. This includes welding, braze and prep, post braze clean up, final clean up, labeling, cutting, and hardfacing. You will use specified welding equipment to assist and support manufacturing operations of parts and assemblies to meet regulatory requirements, operating in a stringent quality-oriented environment.
You will ensure equipment is maintained timely and correctly, including the use of lifting devices, overhead cranes, and material handling equipment. Good written and verbal communication skills, as well as computer competency, are expected. You must be able to read blueprints and drawings and use precision measuring instruments. Tasks include performing manufacturing math calculations, using specialized lifting equipment, performing your own work, assisting others as directed, and conducting post-work inspections. Safety procedures must be followed diligently at all times, including adhering to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards and policies.
Requirements
- Completion of high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 6 months of experience
- Two years of related experience and certification in welding or equivalent is preferred
Candidates with qualifications exceeding the minimum may be considered for higher-level roles such as Associate Production Welder, Production Welder, or Senior Production Welder, based on experience, additional job requirements, and business needs.
