Production Associate 2 (Welder)

About the role

The Production Associate 2 (Welder) operates welding equipment and performs manual construction tasks. Responsibilities include setting up welding equipment, ensuring high-quality welds, inspecting finished products, and collaborating with team members.

Responsibilities

• Operate welding equipment and various hand tools to construct window units.
• Select appropriate materials based on specifications and ensure accurate measurements and alignment during the welding process.
• Perform quality inspections and engage in problem-solving activities to resolve quality issues.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following safety protocols and procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for the duration of the shift.
• Cross-train and rotate on various workstations within the line/complex.
• Measure lengths accurately to 1/32” and perform basic math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Read and interpret schematics, drawings, and diagrams.
• Use computerized equipment and operate a foam filling machine.
• Move carts in and out of production areas.
• One to three years of experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
