Production Technician

About the role

Production technicians are the backbone of our Oriented Strand Board (OSB) mills. You make sure we produce OSB safely and efficiently, creating the materials that build homes and dreams.

Responsibilities

• Work independently as part of a high-performance team dedicated to safely and efficiently producing OSB.
• Perform a variety of labour duties to increase productivity and reduce safety risks.
• When things go wrong, analyze and troubleshoot in your area, and communicate with your team lead and maintenance to get things back on track.
• Work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule, giving you flexibility to spend extra time with your family on days off.

Requirements

• Commitment to working safely coupled with strong communication & interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including evenings and weekends, in a physically demanding industrial environment.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Previous experience in manufacturing or an OSB mill is preferred.
• Previous experience operating a forklift or loader is an asset.

Pay

You’ll earn a competitive wage of $37.34 per hour to start. You’ll also receive an additional prairie location payment on top of your base pay.
