Production Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform routine production tasks, maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and plant startup/operation.
• Troubleshoot plant shutdowns and perform corrective maintenance to allow for timely plant restarts.
• Cookordinate scheduling of planned maintenance and perform preventative maintenance on plant components.
• Safely and efficiently operate units to continuously supply products at the appropriate quantity and quality.
• Monitor plant process performance and make appropriate adjustments to remedy deviations.
• Read and interpret P&ID's, Equipment Manuals, Electrical Schematics, One Line Diagrams, and various company procedures.
• Calibrate analyzers, field instrumentation, and troubleshoot control system problems.
• Perform equipment lock-out tag-out correctly, issue Hazardous work permits, and oversee contractor’s work performance as necessary.

• Safely troubleshoot, repair, and maintain rotating equipment and associated mechanical systems including compressors, pumps, fans, and valves.
• Prepare and execute projects to improve facility availability and reliability.
• Work in a team setting, as well as individually.
• Manage preventative and corrective maintenance work in compliance with established intervals.
• Communicate with other Linde business groups and contractors for support when required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Mechanical/Maintenance experience required.
• 3 or more years in Production Operations experience is highly desirable in any of the following fields:
• Air separation or similar complex process control function
• General maintenance of industrial equipment
• Compressors and compressor maintenance
• Industrial Mechanical
• Industrial Electrical or Electrician
• Instrumentation and control
• Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC)
• Military technical fields: Engineers, Machinist Mates, Electrician Mates, Gas Turbine Technicians, Boiler Technicians and Nuclear technicians, among others
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting/repair skills.
• Proficiency with hand/power tools and test/measurement equipment, etc.
