Production Technician

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Production Technician to support the startup and ongoing operations of our new lithium-ion battery manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on, high-tech environment where safety, quality, and teamwork are top priorities.

Responsibilities

• Build, test and inspect battery components to meet quality and safety standards.
• Use specialized tools and equipment by following detailed work instructions and schematics as you seamlessly transition between different products.
• Operate, monitor, and maintain production equipment and machinery according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings and work instructions.
• Perform quality checks and inspections to ensure product meets specifications.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and escalate as needed to maintenance or engineering teams.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
• Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a clean, organized work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in training and development programs to support plant startup and ongoing operations.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Technical or vocational training is a plus.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in manufacturing, assembly, or production environments.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends as needed.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and a willingness to learn new techniques and technologies.
• Effective communication skills in basic English to follow instructions, interact with supervisors and coworkers, and understand safety regulations, SOPs and work instructions.
