Production Team Lead- EMV
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Production Team Lead to oversee and enhance our production processes. This role is crucial for ensuring operational excellence and leading our team towards achieving high-quality manufacturing standards at G+D, an international technology group and traditional family business with over 14,000 employees in 40 countries. G+D creates trust in the digital age through integrated security technologies in Digital Security, Financial Platforms, and Currency Technology.
At Payment Technology, our mission is to be at the start of every transaction and to make it secure and simple. We produce and personalize hundreds of millions of payment cards every year and store their "digital twins" — mobile and digital.
Responsibilities
- Lead shift production activities within the department, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
- Train and mentor department team members, including agency employees, in production processes and techniques.
- Coordinate and streamline production activities within the department for optimal efficiency.
- Act as the primary point of contact for day-to-day operational queries within the department.
- Monitor team performance and attendance, providing constructive feedback to the Supervisor or Manager.
- Expertly manage production machines, serving as the subject matter expert in the department.
- Communicate any operational issues or concerns to the Production Manager effectively.
- Oversee production quality control to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Implement and maintain shop floor organization and cleanliness in accordance with 6S principles.
- Adhere to and enforce company policies, procedures, processes, and general information.
- Be open to undertaking additional responsibilities and duties as required.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing plant environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- At least 1 year of leadership experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, Quality standards, and GMP.
- Proficient verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- High level of personal integrity.
- Availability and willingness to work overtime as required.
Work Environment
- Capability to work on hard floors, involving regular activities like standing, walking, bending, squatting, twisting, and stooping.
- Ability to lift 15 pounds regularly, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Commitment to regular and consistent attendance, including mandatory overtime when necessary.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $24.76–$28.75 per hour and is eligible for an annual bonus.
