Production Supervisor - Second Shift
About the role
The Production Supervisor oversees safety, quality, productivity, and talent management for their assigned shift. They report to the Operations Manager and manage a team of 10-20 employees.
Responsibilities
- Safety: Promotes safety culture, enforces protocols, conducts safety meetings, and ensures compliance with 5S responsibilities.
- Quality: Monitors and maintains product quality standards, implements quality control procedures, and resolves quality issues.
- Productivity: Analyzes production activities, implements corrective actions, optimizes processes, and monitors production schedules.
- Talent Management: Leads, mentors, and coaches the team, conducts performance evaluations, and ensures training requirements are met.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicates with cross-functional teams, fosters a culture of open communication, and collaborates with other supervisors.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years of related experience, or Bachelor's degree in a Science, Engineering, or related technical field with 2+ years of related experience.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of safety protocols, quality control, and production processes.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging work environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to operate a forklift and other tools.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $85,000 annually. Actual compensation is determined based on various factors including the candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location (Charleston, Illinois area).
