As the Production Supervisor II, you will lead and optimize production operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety. Key responsibilities include:
- Assign production operators effectively to specific jobs, ensuring alignment with production or workload schedules to maximize output.
- Direct various production processes, including the preparation, screening, and blending of inert materials, pelleting, and assembly for explosive preparation, ensuring each phase is executed with precision.
- Maintain high standards of quality control and compliance.
- Provide comprehensive safety training to subordinates, particularly regarding hazardous waste handling, ensuring compliance with pertinent safety regulations at all times.
- Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, maintaining discipline, and upholding excellent housekeeping standards.
- Promote and maintain exemplary housekeeping standards throughout production areas to ensure both safety and efficiency.
- Maintain an extensive knowledge of assigned production processes, equipment, and materials to facilitate informed decision-making and troubleshooting.
Candidates Should Bring
- A strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical drawings and procedures.
- Data processing and report writing skills.
- Skills in defining problems, gathering and analyzing data to establish facts, leading to effective problem-solving and decision-making.
- Robust knowledge of ISO Quality Systems principles and continuous improvement tools such as Process Maps, SPC, FMEA, and Control Plans to drive operational excellence.
- Effective conflict resolution skills to facilitate teamwork and a harmonious working environment.
Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required.
- Associate’s Degree (AA) or higher Preferred.
- 2+ years related experience Required.
- A valid REAL ID-compliant driver’s license, which includes the gold or black star in the upper corner OR current passport, indicating it is federally compliant.
- A positive attitude and the ability to collaborate with team members is essential for contributing to a cohesive work environment.
What You Will Do
As the Production Supervisor, you will:

- Maintain high standards of quality control and compliance.
- Provide comprehensive safety training to subordinates, particularly regarding hazardous waste handling, ensuring compliance with pertinent safety regulations at all times.
- Establish and foster a positive employee morale while maintaining discipline within the team, coordinating with senior management when necessary to address concerns.
- Promote and maintain exemplary housekeeping standards throughout production areas to ensure both safety and efficiency.
- Maintain an extensive knowledge of assigned production processes, equipment, and materials to facilitate informed decision-making and troubleshooting.

- Capacity to think, concentrate and focus for long periods of time.
- Capacity to read complex documents in the English language.
- Capacity to reason and make sound decisions.
- Capacity to write complex documents in the English language.
- Expertise in: EXCEL, WORD, CADD (Revit/Bentley).
