Production Supervisor B - 2nd Shift

Responsibilities

• Oversee and facilitate production operations for assigned area, including managing production teams and coordinating production schedules.
• Assign responsibilities, prepare schedules, and coach employees to ensure efficient production compliant with GMP and SQDC requirements.
• Review production schedules and estimate associate hours to complete job assignments.
• Review and edit corresponding time and attendance management systems.
• Interpret daily production schedules for associates and delegate duties.
• Hold daily cell meetings and set expectations for the day.
• Facilitate the execution of the operational plan to meet or exceed all quality and GMP requirements.
• Participate in programs and committees; suggest improvements to existing GMP guidelines.
• Monitor key activities that drive KPIs (e.g., quality, safety, scrap) and identify daily production challenges.
• Find solutions to remove bottlenecks and work with associates to implement corrective measures.
• Assist in identifying best practices and developing standardized work for operational sustainment.
• Recommend measures and changes to improve production, equipment, product quality, and working conditions.
• Facilitate the acquisition, development, and performance of assigned direct reports, including leadership succession planning.
• Develop associates to improve and expand skills and bench strength.
• Serve as a link between associates and management, supporting associates through changes.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in an applicable field and/or equivalent experience; Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience using MRP/ERP systems.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Experience in Lean manufacturing principles, tools, and applications.
• Applicable knowledge of performance management methods.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and develop talent.
• Demonstrated ability to employ process problem-solving tools to determine root cause and implement countermeasures.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage conflict.
• Demonstrated ability to execute against production playbooks.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
