About the role

FRESH. FORWARD. FLOWERS. Flowers Foods, Inc. (NYSE:FLO) is seeking a Production Operator I to join our team. This position is responsible for contributing to the production process and maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate automated production equipment
• Diagnose and assist with preventative maintenance of machinery
• Aid in sanitation of all related equipment
• Master use of enterprise software for data input, retrieval, and reporting
• Maintain a safe work environment
• Comply with company policies and procedures
• Operate facility metal detectors if assigned
• Ensure compliance with work rules, safety rules, and GMPs
• Set up and monitor equipment according to established standards and safety procedures
• Complete required documentation and system entries accurately and on time

Requirements

• Two (2) or more years of related experience
• High School diploma or equivalency plus technical certification course
• Equivalent military training, other related technical training, or 45 college credit hours

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency
• Technical certification course (e.g., HVAC, auto maintenance/repair)
• Completion of AIB “Science of Baking” course

Skills

• Ability to operate automated production equipment
• Knowledge of enterprise software for data input and retrieval
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stoop/bend frequently
