About the role

Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

You will support the IRST Programs within the Sensors and Global Sustainment Line of Business. The team is responsible for delivering high-quality products to customers, meeting quality, cost, and schedule commitments, and driving operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily priorities and execute plans to meet quality, cost, and schedule commitments.
  • Develop and lead cross-functional teams to achieve program goals.
  • Partner with program management, factory leadership, and other partners to drive operational excellence.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure program success.
  • Meet financial commitments and drive business growth.

Requirements

  • Experience in precision or highly-regulated production, manufacturing, and/or manufacturing environments.
  • Technical background and experience in engineering, project management, supply chain, and/or production planning and control.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization to build consensus, champion change, and deliver results.
  • Ability to achieve objectives through influence and indirect leadership.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration (this position requires a government security clearance).

Desired Skills

  • Project management training or certification.
  • Aerospace and Defense production experience.
  • Lean Six Sigma green belt or black belt.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 and other defense quality standards.

Schedule

This position offers a 4x10 schedule: 4 days of 10-hour work, with 3 days off per week. The employee will work part of their schedule remotely and part at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules, including condensed schedules that provide additional flexibility and time away from the office.

Pay

The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington, or Washington D.C. is $95,000 - $167,440. For other states, the salary range will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Salary is influenced by scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, and market/business considerations.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

For Washington state applicants only: Non-represented full-time employees accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) for incidental absences and other reasons, plus at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full-time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month, up to 52 hours of sick leave annually, and at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
