Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical, mechanical, robotic, hydraulic, and pneumatic principles of operation.
  • Reads and interprets diagrams, drawings, specifications, and instructions to perform maintenance and repair work.
  • Uses full range of measuring, gauging, analysis, machine and hand tools to perform maintenance work.
  • Sets-up and tests production equipment under power according to company safety standards and OSHA requirements.
  • Advises operators of standard operating procedures and requirements for working safely with production equipment.
  • Communicates maintenance problems, results, corrective actions, and recommendations to the chain-of-command, and to the customer as needed.
  • Maintains clean and safe working environment in line with company standards or policies.
  • Works with other trades as part of a maintenance team – engineering, machinist, die maintenance, administrative personnel, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by chain-of-command.

Qualifications

  • The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Sufficient reading and writing ability to follow maintenance, safety, and quality instructions and compile and record maintenance data.
  • Sufficient visual acuity (corrected) to read instructions, operate machines and tools, and visually inspect equipment, controls and components.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity to operate production equipment, test equipment, tools, and to handle material and components properly.
  • Sufficient analysis and planning skills to understand maintenance instructions, troubleshoot mechanical, electronic, robotic, hydraulic, and pneumatic operating systems and to plan work based on such information and analysis results.
  • Statistical process control (SPC) experience
  • Programmable Logic Control (PLC) experience
  • Willingness to wear required safety equipment and follow safety rules and procedures
