Production Geologist (Lost Creek Mine Site)

About The Role

Ur-Energy is seeking an experienced Production Geologist to support delineation and production drilling programs and resource development at our Lost Creek ISR uranium facility in Wyoming. This is a technically hands-on role working closely with the Geology Manager and cross-functional teams to keep active wellfield operations running efficiently and in compliance.

What You'll Do

  • Provide geological and technical expertise in support of drilling programs and resource development projects
  • Auxiliary with geologic logging of drill cuttings, environmental sampling, and related field investigations
  • Interpret drilling data from geophysical logs and core samples
  • Perform mineral resource calculations and prepare technical reports for senior staff review
  • Create and update maps, figures, and technical exhibits using GIS and CAD software for operational, permitting, and presentation purposes
  • Prepare and deliver written and oral technical reports, summaries, and recommendations
  • Cookordination with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) personnel to support permitting, bonding, and regulatory compliance

Required

  • Bachelor of Science in Geology or Geological Engineering
  • 2+ years of geological experience; mining experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of geophysical logs and related concepts as applied in ISR uranium mining
  • Understanding of hydrologic concepts as they relate to uranium deposition and extraction
  • Strong GIS skills and general computer proficiency
  • Professional-level written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record

You'll Stand Out If You Have

  • Direct ISR or uranium mining experience
  • Familiarity with permitting and regulatory compliance in a mining context
  • Experience with CAD software in addition to GIS platforms

Work Environment

This is a site-based role at our Lost Creek facility in Sweetwater County, Wyoming. Work includes both office-based tasks and field assignments, with exposure to outdoor weather conditions and varied noise levels. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch as needed.
