Production Coordinator - Stock Yards

About the role

The Production Coordinator provides contact and liaison between various internal departments by performing general office activities. This includes assisting with order processing, inventory management, and customer support.

Responsibilities

• Aid in order processing and completion for production leaders.
• Support inventory movement between production and warehouse operations.
• Communicate with internal and external customers to address their needs and concerns.
• Respond to inquiries and telephone calls, researching and taking detailed messages as needed.
• Verify information and data to ensure compliance with regulations and procedures.
• Collect, track, and input data on relevant operations metrics to support production and warehouse performance.
• Create and maintain basic charts, graphs, spreadsheets, and databases for manager's review.
• Maintain files, record keeping activities, and confidential data.
• Solve problems on a smaller or less complex scale or in a liaison role.
• Prepare and update recurring and routine internal reports, collecting and verifying data.
• Handle or assist in segments of projects as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications

• Minimum one-year production and/or warehouse experience preferred, preferably in a food environment.
• Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
• Excellent telephone and customer service abilities.
• Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
• Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities to resolve issues of limited scope.
• Ability to perform cross-functional activities and work on varied schedules.
• Strong teamwork skills to support colleagues in the department and division.

Work Environment

• Office environment with occasional work in normal production or warehouse environments, including cooler and freezer areas where temperatures may be as low as -5 degrees.

Compensation

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state or local minimum wage thresholds).

The expected base rate for this role is between $17 - $27.
