Production Accountant

About the role

Partner with WBA Production Management and other Service Depts. to Process Accounts Payable and Freelance invoices for Series, Long form and Shorts in all phases of Development & Production.

Responsibilities

• Review Contracts, Smartsheets, Schedules, Talent Agreements, SOW’s, Purchase Orders, Inter-Company transactions.
• Process Local 839 homework payments for Artists.
• Partner with Production Management or Contract Admin to submit all necessary documents to WFA/Global Payroll.
• Submit tickets to Service desk to resolve outstanding issues.
• Review Overseas animation vendor contracts.
• Review vendor portal for smooth payment processing.
• Process milestone invoices according to SOW.
• Research and resolve outstanding payment issues.
• Process all invoices for Post Production and Music payments.
• Review Purchase Orders and Contracts / SOW. Resolve mismatches and payment issues.
• Update and maintain payment trackers and outstanding commitments.
• Perform other job related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 3 years previous accounting experience required.
• 2 years previous TV production accounting or animation accounting background strongly preferred.
• BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
• Must have understanding of foreign exchange calculations.
• Proficiency in accounting software, including Excel and Smart Accounting or PSL.
• Knowledge of SAG, and IA pay practices preferred (IA 839 and IA 700).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully.
• Professional demeanor and possess the ability to maintain confidentiality.

• Work well under time constraints and prioritize assignments.
