What You'll Do

  • Act as a champion of workplace safety, proactively enforcing regulations and fostering a culture of vigilance
  • Lead and direct a team of employees that consistently makes high-quality products and meets or exceeds production targets
  • Prioritize critical tasks and effectively allocate human resources to maximize efficiency
  • Identify and analyze problems, develop and implement effective solutions, make timely and well-informed decisions, and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, motivating your team to achieve shared goals
  • Utilize data and insights to strike down downtime and quality defects, driving quantifiable improvements in efficiency and quality
  • Maintain a relentless focus on identifying and eliminating inefficiencies, improving processes, and driving innovation to enhance productivity, quality, and safety
  • Proactively address and mediate conflicts fairly and effectively, facilitating mutually acceptable solutions
  • Build and maintain strong, positive working relationships with your team and all partners, including suppliers and union representatives
  • Champion accountability, managing both your own performance and that of the hourly workforce regarding processes and standards
  • Actively listen to and value the perspectives of all team members and other department stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience of supervisory, manufacturing, military, or other relevant experience (Internship and co-op experience considered)
  • Ability to work rotating shifts/hours, including nights and weekends

Experience You May Have

  • Experience with Lean / Six Sigma methodology and / or Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP)

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

Pay

This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $84,480-$141,360.
