Responsibilities

  • Maintains sales program based on customers’ estimated requirements by selling and leasing new and used equipment at the prescribed plan levels.
  • Calls on existing or potential direct customers (new accounts, cold calling, and outside sales).
  • Supports indirect customers on pricing and positioning strategy.
  • Sells maintenance programs and Fleet Management.
  • Keeps records and prepares reports on all phases of activities, including monthly sales reporting, sales forecasts, awareness, and activity reporting in appropriate systems (e.g., Salesforce CRM).
  • Stays abreast of factory training and changes to product offering.
  • Liaises with Rental department to ensure effective representation of the product in the rental fleet and provides relevant market intelligence for competitive rental rates.
  • Conducts training in the regions for account managers with respect to the product offering and the processes for proposing Rail King solutions.
  • Performs Site Surveys, Demonstrates Equipment, Establishes pricing on new and used equipment, informs customers of supply and price trends, assists in inventory control.
  • Secures and renew orders and arranges delivery dates.
  • Collaborates with Regional Sales Managers and salesmen as appropriate.
  • Supports the Used Department with respect to this specialty.
  • Assists in collections activities when needed.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree from a two-year college. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Two to four years of related experience and/or training.
  • Must be able to meet company requirements for auto insurance coverage.
  • Requires Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills.
