Product Specialist
About the Role
Cintas is seeking a Product Specialist to focus on identifying new product opportunities within an existing customer base. This role involves prospecting, conducting on-site visits, cold calling, setting appointments with prospects, presenting programs, and meeting activity requirements.
The Product Development Specialist will utilize a customer relationship management system to document and maintain customer information, produce required sales and productivity reports, communicate details of products sold and pre-installation requirements to the service department management team, and complete new product paperwork.
Responsibilities
- Prospect for new product opportunities within an existing customer base
- Conduct on-site visits and cold calling to generate leads
- Set appointments with prospects and present product programs
- Meet activity and sales productivity requirements
- Document and maintain customer information using a CRM system
- Produce sales and productivity reports
- Communicate product details and pre-installation requirements to the service department
- Complete new product paperwork
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License
- Minimum of 1 year of outside sales experience or successful completion of a Cintas sales training program
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
- New business-to-business sales experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Internet/Intranet, and Contact Management Systems

Pay
A reasonable estimate of total compensation for this role ranges between $60,000 - $85,000 per year, consisting of base salary plus earned commissions. The range accounts for factors such as skill sets, experience, training, performance, and business needs.
