Product Marketing Manager, Defense

This is an in-office role based primarily at an Applied Intuition office 5 days a week, with flexibility for occasional remote work or adjusted schedules as needed.
About the role
As a Product Marketing Manager for Defense, you will drive Applied Intuition’s marketing strategy within the global defense industry. You will lead a cross-functional team, partnering with product managers to define how defense customers understand and adopt the company’s technology. Your role involves combining deep customer insights with product knowledge to shape positioning, messaging, and campaigns for AI-driven solutions. You will also set marketing objectives, manage budgets, and expand the company’s leadership in defense.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute defense marketing strategy, combining market insights and product knowledge to advance the defense pipeline
- Drive product launch marketing, including positioning, naming, messaging, and campaign execution in partnership with Product Management
- Set defense marketing KPIs, define the annual marketing calendar, and manage quarterly budgets
- Brief, guide, and review content developed by editorial and creative teams for campaigns, video, blogs, press, social media, and events
- Stay current on defense market trends, customer priorities, and competitor activity to maintain a differentiated brand presence
Requirements
- 7-10+ years of product marketing experience in software technology across multiple industries, including defense
- US citizenship required to access Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)
- Proven ability to translate complex technical ideas into clear, compelling marketing narratives
- Strong project management skills with experience running multiple workstreams
- Experience shaping brand strategy for a technology-led company and connecting product marketing to broader brand narratives
- Strong creative judgment and a track record of guiding compelling content development
- Ability to drive execution in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Clear, effective communication across diverse stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field

Pay
The base salary range for this full-time position is $150,000 - $200,000 USD annually. The final offer will be influenced by experience, credentials, educational attainment, skill level, interview performance, and the position’s scope.
