What you will do as a Director, Product Marketing Manager

The Director, Product Marketing Manager is a subject matter expert for Moxa's product lines, selected vertical markets and IIoT arena and the key product marketing interface between the Regional Business Unit (RBU) and Strategic Business Group (SBG). The role is responsible for coordinating all MOXA resources needed to effectively manage the product lines for the local RBU market (North/Latin America) and provide SBG with voice of the customer and market information for assessing competitors and opportunities. This role positions the product lines both internally and externally for growth and market share gain while working closely with Moxa sales team, channel partners and key customers.

Major Areas of Responsibility

Market intelligence

  • Identify market and technology trends within the industrial marketplace and targeted vertical markets in which emerging standards, customer needs, and the competitive environment need to be thoroughly understood.
  • Provide comprehensive industry, product, and application knowledge to support the success and growth of the SBU and supported vertical markets.
  • Lead market segmentation analysis and customer research to identify high-potential segments, craft differentiated value propositions and define where to concentrate growth efforts across product units and vertical markets, translating insights into actionable Go-To-Market strategies that sharpen competitive positioning and accelerate revenue.
  • Lead the win/loss analysis across products and SBGs to identify patterns in buyer decisions, competitive displacement, and customer feedback to convert aggregated Voice of Customer insights into targeted initiatives that improve competitive positioning, refine messaging, and support revenue growth.

Business Planning & Execution

  • Develop and align RBU business plans with SBG business plans during ABP, Annual Business Planning workshop.
  • Act as liaison between RBU and SBG to ensure that both parties are up to date on the current business status and are aligned on business strategies.
  • Set the annual SBG quota for the Americas and play an active role in the forecasting, reporting and achievement of quota.

Sales enablement

  • Create training and presentation materials. Train internal sales team and Moxa partners on technology and product lines, vertical markets, and applications within the markets.
  • Be an ambassador for Moxa and represent value propositions to the customers through business development in the targeted market/sector.

Campaign & Promotion

  • Work closely with the Global Marketing group to help set and coordinate the local RBU product promotion strategies and establish respective promotional activities. Highlight customer testimonials and success stories per market segment.
  • Contribute to the new product development/product enhancement for the local RBU marketplace.

Branding & Partnership

  • Contribute to the publication of application notes, white papers, technical articles and interviews within industry magazines, trade journals and associations.
  • Develop and maintain a strategic alliance with industrial leading manufacturers or partners to enhance Moxa brand awareness in targeted markets or segments.

Organization and people development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team that consistently embodies and demonstrates ownership of their business area.
  • Set clear performance expectations, provide ongoing coaching and constructive feedback, and create individualized development plans that build strength and support succession planning.
  • Drive a culture of innovation and accountability by modeling leadership behaviors that inspire trust, collaboration, creativity and a shared sense of purpose across teams.
  • Assess talent needs, manage headcount and resource allocation, and lead through organizational change with transparency and strategic intent.

Minimum Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical/electronic engineering, network engineer or similar engineering discipline.

Experience:

  • 15+ years professional experience in product marketing & leadership positions
  • 10+ years experience in the industrial embedded computer industry
  • 3+ years experience in IIoT and/or industrial communications
  • 5+ years people leadership experience

Communication: Proficiency in written and verbal business communication.

Travel: Domestic and international travel will be required. Will equate to 25%.

Compensation Information

Total Compensation Target (Base + Bonus + Commission): California: $164,000 - $210,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and work location.
