About the role

The Director, Product Management - Marketing will lead the vision, strategy, and execution of Alkami's marketing solutions portfolio, building products specifically for marketers at financial institutions and similar organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the long-term vision and strategy for Alkami's Marketing portfolio.
  • Drive the evolution of marketing, customer intelligence, personalization, and engagement capabilities across Digital Banking, MANTL, and other Alkami platforms.
  • Develop and maintain a product roadmap aligned with Alkami's marketing strategy and enterprise priorities.
  • Identify market opportunities, competitive trends, and emerging technologies-including AI-that create differentiation and growth opportunities for marketers.
  • Translate customer needs and market insights into innovative product capabilities and commercial outcomes.
  • Create and distribute clarity by synthesizing ambiguous problems, market signals, and customer needs into a clear, compelling product direction.
  • Partner with Engineering, Design, Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Executive Leadership to deliver innovative solutions that drive measurable outcomes for financial institutions and support Alkami's growth objectives.
  • Roll up your sleeves and stay close to the details of product execution - not just strategy.
  • Hold a high bar for execution quality, craft, and urgency across the team and the products you ship.
  • Lead cross-functional product teams to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Ensure roadmap commitments are delivered with predictability, quality, and measurable customer impact.
  • Partner with Engineering and Architecture teams to modernize platforms, improve scalability, and accelerate innovation.
  • Establish disciplined product management practices, prioritization frameworks, and outcome-based planning.
  • Monitor performance metrics and customer feedback to continuously improve products and experiences.
  • Champion the embedding of AI directly into the marketer’s product experience to reduce manual effort and improve outcomes.
  • Bring curiosity and urgency to evaluating how AI, machine learning, and predictive intelligence can power better audience segmentation, content, journey orchestration, and campaign performance.
  • Drive innovation in customer data, transaction intelligence, and behavioral insights to power personalized banking experiences.
  • Lead the development of integrated experiences that connect customer insights with digital engagement and acquisition strategies.
  • Partner with Product Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to increase adoption, product attach rates, and revenue growth.
  • Develop business cases, pricing strategies, and commercialization plans for new capabilities.
  • Support strategic sales opportunities and executive-level customer engagements.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to financial institutions by helping clients understand how marketing technology, data, analytics, and personalization can drive growth and improve customer experiences.
  • Establish measurable KPIs tied to adoption, engagement, retention, and revenue performance.
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team of Product Managers.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and career development opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, customer obsession, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish clear goals, performance expectations, and success metrics across the organization.
  • Collaborate effectively across Product, Engineering, Design, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success leadership teams.
  • Represent Alkami at client meetings, industry conferences, webinars, and advisory boards.
  • Maintain deep expertise in marketing technology, digital banking, data analytics, AI, and personalization trends.
  • Serve as a thought leader internally and externally on the future of marketing, customer intelligence, and engagement in financial services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Marketing, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of Product Management experience, including 5+ years leading product teams.
  • Direct, hands-on experience building and shipping products - launching new product lines within an existing portfolio, or building and scaling flagship products in a startup environment.
  • Proven success building and scaling SaaS, marketing technology, data, analytics, or personalization products.
  • Marketing automation experience and a strong understanding of how marketers work, what they need, and how to build products that serve them.
  • Demonstrated ability to create clarity from ambiguity and communicate it effectively upward, laterally, and to teams.
  • A hands-on, high-bar operating style with a strong sense of urgency and ownership of execution quality.
  • AI fluency-curiosity and a practical point of view on how AI can be embedded into product experiences to improve user outcomes.
  • Experience developing product strategies that drive measurable business outcomes and revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of customer engagement, marketing automation, customer analytics, and data-driven decision making.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in Agile environments.
  • Experience partnering directly with executive stakeholders and enterprise customers.
  • Strong communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.
  • Experience using product management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, ProductBoard, Slack, and Google Workspace.

Preferred

  • Experience with marketing automation platforms, customer data platforms (CDPs), customer intelligence solutions, or personalization engines.
  • Experience with AI, machine learning, predictive analytics, or data science-enabled products.
  • Experience within financial services, fintech, or digital banking.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience supporting go-to-market strategy, pricing, packaging, and commercialization efforts.
  • Experience leading product integration efforts following acquisitions or platform consolidations.
