KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain engineering drawings for cable assemblies
- Create build-ready 2D CAD documentation, including cut lengths, strip lengths, pinouts, wiring diagrams, schematics, interconnect drawings, and termination callouts
- Apply and maintain internal drawing standards, symbols, templates, and documentation practices
- Perform end-to-end engineering estimation and quoting for new and existing opportunities, including: Labor content and build assumptions, Components, consumables, and material selection
- Partner closely with Sourcing and Product Management to validate BOM structure, material options, alternates, and cost drivers
- Support pricing accuracy by ensuring drawings and BOMs reflect true manufacturing requirements
- Provide hands-on technical support to manufacturing operations on the production floor. Resolve build issues by: Clarifying drawings and documentation, Supporting root-cause analysis for defects, rework, or build delays, Updating drawings, BOMs, and instructions as needed
- Support NPI builds, pilot runs, and production ramp-ups
- Maintain accurate and revision-controlled BOMs aligned with drawings and build processes
- Drive part rationalization, SKU reduction, and cost optimization through documentation accuracy and component standardization
- Own technical content of ECOs/ECNs related to drawings, BOMs, and documentation changes
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to clarify requirements and resolve technical issues
- Interface with customers and suppliers to support drawing clarification, component selection, and documentation alignment

- Computer Applications Skills: SAP MRP, Ability to work in a Windows environment, to work with your department’s business applications and with standard current computer applications. Proficient in MS Access and Excel

Occasionally is exposed to a noise level ranging from moderate to high. Occasionally is exposed to risk of electrical shock.
