Product Designer, Bumble Date

About the role

The Bumble Date Design team is seeking a Product Designer to reimagine modern dating experiences. This role involves designing end-to-end user experiences, translating product strategy into intuitive designs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end user experiences, owning customer journeys, interaction design, and visual design from early concepts through polished implementation
• Translate product strategy, customer insights, and research into intuitive interaction models, high-fidelity designs, and prototypes that clearly communicate design intent
• Collaborate with UXR, PMs, and engineers throughout the design process while actively contributing to discovery, synthesis, and iteration with an open, curious mindset
• Build with intention: consider not just how something looks, but how it feels, how it behaves, and what it communicates to the people who use it
• Contribute to shared UX patterns and design system components, helping to raise the bar for consistency and craft across the product
• Use AI-powered tools thoughtfully to accelerate exploration, prototype ideas, and personalize experiences responsibly
• Present and defend your design decisions clearly, articulating how your choices connect to user needs, product goals, and Bumble’s values
• Embrace feedback with curiosity, iterate with intention, and bring a growth mindset to every stage of the design process
• Embody Bumble’s core values of Joy, Courage, and Curiosity, using design to build products that foster empathy and connection

Requirements

Typically requires 3+ years of experience, though we welcome candidates with alternative backgrounds that demonstrate equivalent skills. Strong visual and interaction design skills, developing strong product thinking, working well in cross-functional teams, proficiency in Figma and modern prototyping tools, treating inclusive design and accessibility as fundamentals, taking ownership seriously, embodying Bumble’s values of Joy, Courage, and Curiosity.

Qualifications

Strong visual and interaction design skills and your work is considered, polished, and reflects a genuine care for craft. Developing strong product thinking: you ask “why” before you jump to “how,” and you’re actively building the instincts to connect design decisions to outcomes. Proficient in Figma and modern prototyping tools, and you approach new methods and technologies with openness. Treating inclusive design and accessibility as fundamentals, not afterthoughts. Taking ownership seriously: you follow through, communicate proactively, and bring a proactive, accountable mindset to your work.
