Position Summary
The Produce Clerk is responsible for assisting with inventory counts, preparing product for display by trimming, washing, banding, and/or wrapping produce goods. Duties include building, rotating, and maintaining product displays; maintaining department schematics; cleaning and sanitizing the work area; monitoring cooler and case temperatures; possessing product knowledge; unloading trucks; and organizing inventory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure freshness and quality through rotation of product.
- Inventory merchandise on hand.
- Set up and maintain all displays.
- Assist manager in maintaining pricing and signage.
- Maintain neat and orderly coolers.
- Use and maintain sprinkler wet system on produce.
- Cut fruits and vegetables to be sold in packages.
- Maintain cleanliness of scales.
- Perform all other duties assigned within the department.
- Work cross‑functionally with other departments.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in produce departments or supermarkets is a plus.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Physical Demands and Work Conditions
- Required to sit, stand, and use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.

- Work environment typical of an office and retail store; noise level ranges from quiet to loud.
- Ability to drive and flexibility to travel to all company locations as required.
