Responsibilities

• Ensure freshness and quality through rotation of product
• Inventory merchandise on hand
• Set-up and maintain all displays
• Assist manager in maintaining pricing and signage
• Maintain neat and orderly coolers
• Use and maintenance of sprinkler wet on produce
• Cut fruits and vegetables to be sold in packages
• Maintain cleanliness of scales
• All other duties assigned within the department
• Work cross functionally with other departments
• Unload trucks and organize inventory
• Build, rotate, and maintain product displays
• Maintain department schematics
• Clean and sanitize work area
• Monitor temperatures in coolers and cases
• Prepare product for display by trimming, washing, banding, and/or wrapping produce goods

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• Previous experience in produce departments/supermarkets is a plus
• Bilingual in English and Spanish

• The work environment is typical of an office and retail store, with noise levels ranging from quiet to loud
• Ability to drive and flexible to travel to all company locations as required
