The Produce Clerk is responsible for assisting with inventory counts, preparing product for display by trimming, washing, banding and/or wrapping produce goods, building, rotating and maintaining product displays, maintaining department schematics, cleaning and sanitizing work areas, and monitoring temperatures in coolers and cases. The role requires product knowledge, unloading trucks, and organizing inventory.
Responsibilities
- Ensure freshness and quality through rotation of product
- Inventory merchandise on hand
- Set up and maintain all displays
- Assist manager in maintaining pricing and signage
- Maintain neat and orderly coolers
- Use and maintenance of sprinkler wet on produce
- Cut fruits and vegetables to be sold in packages
- Maintain cleanliness of scales
- All other duties assigned within the department
- Work cross functionally with other departments
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Previous experience in produce departments/supermarkets, a plus
- Bilingual in English and Spanish

Physical Demands
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Required to sit, stand, and use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls

- Ability to drive and flexible to travel to all company locations as required
