Produce Clerk ELR

Position Summary

The Produce Clerk assists with inventory counts, prepares product for display, builds, rotates, and maintains product displays, maintains department schematics, cleans and sanitizes work areas, and monitors temperatures in coolers and cases. This role also involves product knowledge, unloading trucks, organizing inventory, and working cross-functionally with other departments.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Ensure freshness and quality through rotation of product
• Inventory merchandise on hand
• Set-up and maintain all displays
• Aid manager in maintaining pricing and signage
• Maintain neat and orderly coolers
• Use and maintain of sprinklers on produce
• Cut fruits and vegetables to be sold in packages
• Maintain cleanliness of scales
• Perform all other duties assigned within the department
• Work cross-functionally with other departments

Education And Experience

A high school diploma or GED is required. Previous experience in produce departments or supermarkets is preferred. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
