About the role
The Processing Utility Operator will operate and adjust multiple pieces of equipment, monitor line flow and waste, correct issues affecting quality and production costs, and make line changes as directed.
Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate and adjust all processes for multiple pieces of equipment
- Maintain line flow and waste
- Correct problems affecting quality and production costs
- Make line changes as directed by the Production / Package Lead or Team Leader
- Seamlessly change positions between current qualified jobs to meet plant needs on their respective shift
- Be willing and able to bid into certain positions based on plant need
- Perform various duties as assigned by the plant management, which may include any position within the production area
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Basic math skills
- Reasonable ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds unassisted
- Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain safe work practices
Qualifications
- Knowledge of equipment limits and how to avoid deviations
- Sound trouble shooting capabilities
- Ability to communicate and work positively with other associates and salaried personnel
- Ability to perform routine checks such as CIL’s and FSIL’s
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
