Description

The Processing Supervisor is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the Processing Department during second shift. This position coordinates workflow, supports the processing team, communicates with other departments, and ensures production goals, food safety standards, and quality expectations are consistently met.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate daily processing activities to ensure loads are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Communicate production priorities and workflow with team members and other departments.
  • Absorb, verify, and maintain required production and operational data.
  • Operate forklifts, yard trucks, and processing equipment as needed.
  • Capture, verify, and maintain required production and operational data.
  • Perform Clean-in-Place (CIP) cleaning of tanks and tankers.
  • Maintain and enforce Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and company safety procedures.
  • Support training and coaching of Processing Team Members.
  • Help troubleshoot production issues and keep operations moving efficiently.
  • Promote a safe, organized, and productive work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions.
  • Willingness to work overtime when needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous manufacturing, production, or processing experience.
  • Previous supervisory or team lead experience.
  • Forklift and/or yard truck experience.
  • Experience working with pumps, valves, or industrial processing equipment.

Physical Requirements

  • This position requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and lift throughout the shift.
  • Lift and move up to 50-75 pounds.
  • Work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, moisture, and odors.
  • Safely operate industrial equipment and powered vehicles.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toe boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and other required safety equipment.
