The primary responsibilities of the position is to register all clients that present themselves for services and filling out the appropriate forms as needed for requested services. In addition, the employee will be required to enter all personal data, insurance information and household contact information into the Patagonia computer system. This position will also act as personal data/financial interviewer for all non-Medicaid clients, as well as well as BCCCP Program, Sickle Cell, Dental and Community Care Clinics. While interviewing, the employee will encounter sensitive personal information and is responsible for protecting its confidentiality. Employee will adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and standards. Duties include documentation of problem identifications, clinic verifications and financial information as needed. A high level of knowledge regarding all clinic programs and agency guidelines is essential to perform these job duties in an efficient and accurate manner. Billing for services rendered and collecting payments for those services are also included. Selection procedures will include review of all applications and interviews for most qualified candidates. Reference checks will be conducted on the top candidate(s). Qualifications Required: Must be a High School Graduate1 year of clerical work experienceBe able to follow verbal and written instructionsBe knowledgeable of basic math skillsPossess excellent filing skillsHave the ability to communicate effectively with staff and publicHave the ability to spell, print and write legiblyHave basic data processing skills In order to work with the department's computer systemHave proficient typing skills and calculator skillsBilingual Preferred ADA Compliance: The County of Richmond is and Equal Opportunity Employer.
