Process Engineer (Chemical)

About the role

According to customer and internal specifications, designs and implements manufacturing processes and equipment for the manufacture of PCBs, including process optimization and continual improvement.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and follow written procedures and instructions in English.
• Use personal experience, education, and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Lead and direct the work of others.
• Focus on process yield and improvement.
• Interact with customers regarding process improvement and failure analysis.
• Support manufacturing by process definition and implementation.
• Specify materials, tools, equipment (when possible), and process parameters.
• Assist in training of manufacturing personnel.
• Effectively communicate with all levels of personnel.
• Troubleshoot and implement corrective actions for process improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in a technically related field.
• 1–5 years electrochemical copper plating experience.
• 1–5 years electroless copper plating experience.
• 1–5 years ENEPIG surface finish experience.
• 1–3 years general PCB experience.
• Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR, and OFAC, including but not limited to:
  • Identifying ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understanding that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents.
  • Recognizing Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation.
  • Following authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL).
  • Understanding the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US.
  • Managing vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
