About the role
The Scheduler provides administrative support to the PACE Center, which includes the clinic and/or day center. They handle scheduling and administrative duties to ensure appointments are timely and efficient, maintain accurate records, and comply with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Respond to community specialist appointment requests and schedule PACE participants as quickly and efficiently as possible.
- Communicate professionally and courteously with community providers/specialists and associated staff, as well as PACE staff.
- Provide necessary documentation for scheduled appointments.
- Enter data into participants' electronic medical records.
- Cover transportation needs for scheduled community provider/specialist appointments.
- Coordinate with PACE Clinic Providers to manage appointment needs and schedule participants using the electronic scheduling system.
- Collaborate with PACE Leadership, Clinic Staff, and the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) to meet participants' scheduling needs.
- Cover for Care Team Assistants as directed by leadership.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 1 year scheduling and/or administrative experience in a health care field preferred
- Medical Assistant certification preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent documentation and organizational skills, including time management, multitasking, and prioritizing
- Self-direction, independent judgment, discretion, and ability to work with multiple teams
- Strong computer knowledge in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, and the capability to learn additional software, as needed
- Medical terminology background preferred
- CPT code knowledge preferred

- Education: High school diploma or GED
